One day eggs are bad for you and the next they’re fine. Saturated fat is bad for you, but wait, no it’s not.

What’s with all the mixed messages?

Don’t scientist know what they are doing?

Well, the problem doesn’t lie in the scientists, but in the way the research is interpreted by the media.

Media outlets love to get clicks by scaring readers and consumers with bold headlines, even if it’s an incorrect interpretation of results.

Learning about new research can be a chore and almost frustrating because you don’t know if what you’re reading is true or not…until now.

The folks at Examine.com have released their newest project, the Examine.com Research Digest.

Here’s what you need to know:

– ERD gives you context on the latest research. It’s not just “this study said X and Y and didn’t cover Z.” It’s written in easily accessible language which lets you quickly key in on the implications of the study and get a thorough understanding of the process. It tells you what the big picture is. Why it MATTERS.

– ERD is not a one man or two man or even three man operation. We have 5 researchers, 4 editors, and 7 reviewers. It’s a panel you can trust – you won’t find that kind of depth and breadth of expertise in one place.

– ERD is professional and gorgeous. It’s amazing how much people respond to how well put together it is.

– ERD is for professional development. If you want to stick out from the pack, you have to keep learning, you have to keep being educated. ERD makes it a LOT easier to stay up with the latest research.

– ERD is also available as audio MP3 files. A lot of people told us they didn’t have time – now you can stay on top of the latest research during your drive to work or any other time you can listen.

– ERD gives you access to a private Facebook Group, allowing you to discuss the reviews and interact with hundreds of your well respected peers and the team members of Examine.com.

– ERD is delivered in an easily downloadable pdf or ePub format, allowing you to access it via your desktop computer, eReader, tablet, or mobile device.

The regular price is $30/mo (<$1/day), and sale price is $24/mo (20% off) until Nov 9 midnight PST. Purchase ERD today and save: http://examine.com/refererd/jkconditioning

I’ve read through the first issue and it’s fantastic. I don’t have time to search Pubmed for all the latest research, so this product will save me a lot of time. I’ll also feel confident and know that what I’m reading is unbiased by the media. I strongly recommend this product if you want to keep up to date with health and nutrition information.

Don’t be fooled by the media again. Check out ERD here:

I had tried JKC based on the recommendation of a parent of one of my students. I originally started by attending Saturday drop in classes. I was hooked. I decided to join full time when I I had taken a year off from teaching and it was the best thing I have done for myself.

First and foremost the trainers at JKC are extremely knowledgeable. I feel like they are as dedicated to my success as I am. The workouts are tailored to me, my skills and my goals. This is important. Jon and Thomas truly want the best for their clients no matter what level of fitness they are starting from. I also like being able to book a session at a time that suits my schedule. This also helps keep me accountable. Once the session is booked I am not likely to cancel!

I’m 40 years old & started training at JKC in 2015. The gym I was working out at closed and my husband recommended JKC. JKC meets you where you are in your fitness journey and tailors the work to help achieve your goals. I’ve trained with Jon & Thomas pre pregnancy, while pregnant and now post baby and they have helped me enormously to stay fit through all life phases.

I joke with the guys often that I’ve seen no change in my fitness level since joining the gym, but the reality is I’m in far better shape at 40 than I ever was at 30 thanks to them.

Personal Strength Training by Jon-Erik Kawamoto

Have to thank both Jon and Thomas for their help with my conditioning this past year. After a major injury in 2020, I tried everything. My foot doctor (Dr. D. Sutton) said there was something missing and recommended Conditioning. I then found JKConditioning and it definitely worked for me. Today September 8, 2024 I completed a Half Marathon in 1 hour and 42 minutes and came First in my age group.
Thank you JKConditioning!!!

I’m 30 — started at JKC Aug 2016. I moved to NL to open lululemon and we chose Jon as one of our store’s ambassadors, did one workout and have raved about it ever since! The JKC team can adapt a workout no matter what the situation — injuries, new goals, you name it! The trust and expertise can’t be matched!

I had always wanted to start lifting weights and get stronger, but didn’t know where to start. I was looking not just for a gym, but for training on proper technique to prevent injury and a program designed for my specific goals. I also wanted a fun and supportive atmosphere to keep me coming back. JKC delivered on all of this and more.

Jon and Thomas have a wealth of knowledge that help their clients get the most out of their time in the gym. Programs are continuously modified to keep the workouts challenging. Even through everyone’s program is unique, you always have the coaches and other clients cheering you on and pushing you to achieve new bests.
